Admission to School of Computing and Informatics

 


Application forms can be obtained from the Main University or any of the Campuses and Study Centres or can be downloaded from the MMUST Website www.mmust.ac.ke  . All applications should be accompanied by a non – refundable fee of  Kshs. 2,000/= for Postgraduate Programmes, Kshs. 1,000/= for undergraduate students and Kshs. 500/= for Diploma and Certificate
(b) The non-refundable application fee may be deposited in the following account: National Bank of Kenya, Kakamega Branch A/C No. 100370554 or paid in form of banker’s cheque payable to Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. 
NB: For Cases where the Applicant wishes to study under Open Distance and e-Learning Platform, you can visit http://odel.mmust.ac.ke/  for more information on application procedure.
All applications should be addressed to Registrar, Academic Affairs, MMUST, P.O. Box 190– 50100, Kakamega.
Note:
⚫ Foreign students from outside East Africa pay 20% more on tuition fee.
⚫ In addition to the registration fees, students pay other statutory fees
⚫ Other registration details are provided upon admission into individual Programmes.

 


Programme Admission Criteria:

MSc in information technology
Candidates wishing to pursue a MSc programme  in School of Computing and Informatics at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology must meet the following
requirements;
a) Have appropriate preparatory academic training as evidenced by at least one of the following:
Be a holder of a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent academic qualification of any other recognized institution.
b) Fulfill specific requirements as maybe stipulated by respective Department i.e. Computer Science Department of Information Technology Department  with regard to the field of study.
PH.D Programs
Candidates wishing to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology must meet the following
requirements;
a) Have appropriate preparatory academic training as evidenced by at least one of the following:
Be a holder of a Master's Degree or an equivalent academic qualification of any other recognized institution.
b) Fulfill specific requirements as maybe stipulated by respective Department i.e. Computer Science Department of Information Technology Department with regard to the field of study.
