2017 05 22 15.30.33ARE YOU A MMUST COMPUTING STUDENT? HERE IS ANOTHER GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE KNOWLEDGE- HACKATHON!!!
BACKGROUND: A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is a design sprint-like event in which computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers, project managers, and others, often including subject-matter-experts, collaborate intensively on software projects.   
THE EVENT DATE AND VENUE: This will take place on the Weekend of 9th June 2017 in SPD 004 Starting 8.00 AM. Hackathons tend to have a specific focus, which can include the programming language used, the operating system, an application, an API, or the subject and the demographic group of the programmers. The event will focus on health information systems and simple solutions. Possible real-world problems shall be read to the teams on the material day
PARTNERS: This is a partnership event between University of Nairobi, School of Computing and Informatics- HealthIT Project, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology-School of Computing and Informatics, and the County Government of Kakamega-CHMTs. 
REWARDS: Projects shall be assessed by a Team of Researchers from UoN led by Dr. Orwa J and Dr. Oboko R and staff from MMUST including Dr. Omieno K and Dr. Mutua S and Mr. Ondulo J. There shall be award and other gifts for the teams that will participate. Top-selected prototypes shall be funded to make them full systems
TEAMS: Please form a Team of 2-4 members and register with the office administrator, School of Computing and Informatics by 7th June 2017.
